Dr. James Colocotronis
A native of Utica, Dr. Colocotronis graduated from Utica Free Academy in 1981. He attended SUNY Albany and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Colocotronis went on to attend SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. To further his education, Dr. Colocotronis completed a one year General Practice Residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY. He also completed extensive training at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dentistry, Occlusion and Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ).
In 1991, Dr. Colocotronis became associated and later a partner with Dr. Anthony Farfaglia in Canastota. In 1995, Dr. Farfaglia retired and Dr. Colocotronis became sole owner of the practice.
Dr. Colocotronis is a member of the American Dental Association, Fifth District Dental Society, Madison County Dental Society, Onondaga County Dental Society, and the New York State Dental Association.
Dr. Colocotronis is married and is the father of a young daughter. He spends his free time with his family and enjoys SU sports, rotisserie baseball, golf, music, and movies.
